Start with the host, then confirm the complete assembly. The MINI 640-2 manual supplies the following reference values; connector, software and sample-scope details still need configuration-specific confirmation.
| Integration checkpoint | Listed reference | Confirm for your sample |
|---|---|---|
| Video & host | CVBS + USB 2.0 | Connector drawing, output format and timing, host OS, driver or SDK, and whether an interface board is required. |
| Control channel | UART / I²C / USB 2.0 | Protocol revision, electrical levels and supported commands for the chosen hardware revision. |
| Power budget | 5 V ±5%; typical ≤ 650 mW with USB output at 25°C. | Startup and peak current, connector polarity and consumption of additional boards or accessories. The typical figure is not a complete system power budget. |
| Mechanical fit | 21 × 21 × 10.3 mm and 9 g, excluding lens. | Full assembly drawing with lens, flange, boards, connectors and cable clearance. |
| Operating conditions | Operating case temperature: −30°C to +70°C. | Housing thermal design and the supplier-approved operating limits. Case temperature is not the same as ambient temperature. |
The 9.1 mm F0.8 option must be specified with the detector and focus arrangement. The manual lists two recommended codes, MINI64009108HNRSAC and MINI64009108HNRSAK, without explaining the final C/K distinction. Ask for the selected order code and its configuration record; do not infer interchangeability.
The supplied MINI 640-2 manual describes an infrared observation module. It does not specify a radiometric temperature range, accuracy or calibrated per-pixel temperature output. For temperature measurement, request a model and documentation that explicitly cover those requirements.
No. MINI 640-2 lists USB 2.0 digital video, CVBS analog video and UART / I²C / USB 2.0 communication. The supplied specification does not establish UVC support, a particular SDK, connector pinout or operating-system compatibility. Request those details for the selected configuration before wiring or software integration.
The manual lists a 60 Hz detector frame rate. NETD is separately specified as ≤ 40 mK at 25°C, F/1.0 and 25 Hz. These are different stated conditions: do not assume the NETD figure is validated at 60 Hz or with the 9.1 mm F0.8 lens. Confirm delivered video timing and sensitivity for the chosen configuration.
No. Both figures refer to the MINI 640-2 core without the lens. The listed 9.1 mm F0.8 lens and flange weigh 13 g ±1 g. Boards, connectors, cables and mounting hardware depend on the chosen assembly; request its complete drawing and mass before allocating space or payload capacity.
